Stretcher bars wood
Three quality levels for stretcher bars

Master line - Laminated
Laminated Wood – Top Quality
Thin, finger-jointed slats are glued and processed in layers, resulting in a strong, stable stretcher bar that resists warping. Laminated wood is also used in structural supports.

Art line - Finger-jointed
Finger-jointed Wood – Better Quality
Wooden sections are glued lengthwise, significantly reducing tension in the wood and virtually eliminating warping.

Basic line - Solid wood
Solid Wood
The wood fibers run in the grain direction, which can create natural tension. Moisture may cause the wood to expand or warp. Solid wood is only suitable for smaller canvases.

For demanding artists

Siemerink does not offer loose stretcher bars made of solid wood. Solid wood stretcher bars are used exclusively in basic-quality pre-stretched canvases up to 30cm. For larger canvases, finger-jointed and laminated bars are used.
